Tech Tidbits Daily for May 5, 2005

This is your Tech Tidbits Daily for Thursday, May 5th, 2005. Today’s podcast contains some links to more resources if you are in the market for a new digital camera and one announcement.

Over the last week or so, I have been helping a family friend try to decide what kind of digital camera is best of their family.  Two key resources that I highly recommend are: Digital Camera Resource  and Steve’s DigiCams Online.

Also in timely fashion, the Geek.com Tech Tip also for May 5th is on Digital Camera Basics.  Some items covered in this article include: Pixels;  Megapixels; Sensors – CMOS and CCD; Zoom – Optical and Digital; Memory – Digital Film; Aliasing; Aspect Ratio; and Connectivity.

I personally use a Sony DSC-W1 and my wife uses a Canon S70.

Now for the announcement, I have a copy of Billy Watson’s latest CD. I am going to hold a drawing.  If you vote over a Podcast Alley for Tech Rag Tear Outs or Tech News Radio and then send me email at technewsradio@gmail.com that you did that, then I’ll put your name into a drawing for a Billy Watson CD. I’ll draw the winner on 31May05.  If you actually don’t think either podcast should get a vote, send me an email on why and I’ll still put you in the drawing also.
