The new update mentioned a couple of days ago in a post, does not fix what I think is a big feature missing in this otherwise very useful tool – editing in outline view.
There are new tools for exporting MindMaps to outline views in both HTML and Word though, and the ability to import tab’d text files but no apparent way to import OMPL files.
Maybe the next big release.
Yes, Steve. I, too, was disappointed to find that this much hoped-for feature was not included. Perhaps in the next release.

Just found your blog through Google. I agree, an editible outline view would make MindManger truely useful to me. I am trying to find a good combination of software to impliment a David Allen “Getting Things Done” approach to my organizing. MindManger seems like a good fit, and I just downloaded the trial version of Gyronix Results Manager, which is supposed to help adapt MindManger to Getting Things Done work flow. Editing the outline directly is the most “natural” way for me to enter projects that I’ve already thought through, while mapping would probably be more useful in the brainstorming phase. Hope they add this to MindManger. If you get any info, I would be interested. Thanks

I know the David Allen folks have been in touch with MindJet and have plugged their stuff.
I don’t know if any one from MindJet is reading the site and now one has contacted me. I know that if you search for comments about MindManager you’ll get my site so if they are doing any websearch analysis they should have seen my comments.
I did send in a comment to their helpdesk to make sure they know that outlining is a very key feature for me.
