PlanPlus 3.0 – Planning/Outlining in Outlook

The BETA product I was testing is out – Franklin Covey PlanPlus 3.0 with a Project Task List view built into Microsoft Outlook.

I like the feature a lot for getting started on a project or to plan simple things that don’t need coordination with others. But it definitely is not Microsoft Project and it definitely is a full featured outlining tool. Also there is no way currently to take the PlanPlus Project View with you to your PocketPC.

  1. G’Day Steve,
I was doing a quick search on google on PlanPlus 3.0 and your site came up. Basically was wondering what you thought of PlanPlus 3.0 and how stable the product is as I am using PlanPlus 2.0, and am holding off before taking the plunge.
Sounds like you have a PPC too, as I was curious how to get project list up. My other concern is whether it will affect Pocket Informant as it has Hierarchial Tasks. You may/may not have used these but was just curious on your thoughts.
    Cheers,
    JB

  3. JB – PlanPlus 3.0 seems pretty stable. I haven’t had much of any problems. The last beta (really a release candidate) was the final version they shipped at least by file name.
There is no real sync options for the Project data with handhelds. You can only see that info in Outlook and I guess if you wanted to share it with someone you might have to use PDF or something like that.
