The Franklin Covey course that I took today was very good. There was a lot of information packed into one day, but the examples and the “team work exercises” helped with reinforcement of many of the principles. They say it takes 21 days to make a habit. We will have to see if this one sticks?!?

Please don’t get lost in the “mission statement” euphoria.
How many times can I remember certain corporate types going on navel-gazing retreats and coming back to the workers with goofy “mission statements” they are so proud of?
And the workers have to listen to this tiny-product-of-four-days-at-a-resort as if listening to a 6-year-old read his first paragraph.
These “mission statements” all say the same thing anyway. Do a good job and make some money.
Don’t people know what their jobs are? If they don’t know, the grand words of “mission statements” seldom clarify anything.
Just venting.LikeLike
