The CHVRCHES's 2nd album "Every Open Eye" (Wikipedia) was release five years ago – September 25, 2015.

I learned about them in the September edition of Wired Magazine.  Things have never been the same since.

CHVRCHES' 1st album "The Bones of What You Believe" was released on September 20, 2013. Happy 7th Birthday!

In the U.S.A. that would make the album a 2nd grader right?!?

Today's CHVRCHES Fan Podcast covers "three tidbits" (aka 3bits) of CHVRHCES news you should know [full show notes] from episode #5:

    • Best Coast celebrated their 10th anniversary of their debut album Crazy For You with Lauren Mayberry. [Music-News, UpNewsInfo, NME]
    • Maxi Wox remix of CHVRCHES’ song Death Stranding
    • CHVRCHES Italia has released on YouTube a CHVRCHES documentary.

The goal of 3bits releases is that they will come in a more frequent publication cycle and in a shorter format. All content produced by CHVRCHES Fan Podcast will come down the same subscription link so no need to make any changes.

Please consider donating to the The Girls Home. [Lauren Mayberry, Rachel Collingwood]

Steve Beer///FEAR.MOVIE.LIONS** (Double IPA) [Untapped] from Stone Brewing

** The three words in the name of this beer, refer to a site called what3words that has created a grid location mapping tool that has mapped out the whole world in 3-meter squares using three word combinations.  So ///FEAR.MOVIE.LION is Stone's Richmond Brewery.  Street addresses are not always what you want to use.  Maybe a specific door to a building is better.  Or your exact location on the beach or in a park.  Learn more here!

  • Some Interest Craft Beer Links To Check Out From The Random Show

Screenshot 2020-09-05 at 11.21.18I was recently catching up on some podcasts, and this Random Show with Kevin Rose and Tim Ferris was very interesting.  I usually don't miss them when they happen.

This one got really interesting about half-way through when Kevin started talking about really good craft beers. In the area of COVID-19 he has been trying to drink more really good craft beers.  Over the last seven weeks my level of interest in craft beer in general as gone up because I've been helping Chris & Charlie with their The PodCraft Beer show.  In addition my palate has started to change from very IPA focused, to also enjoying a stout or a mild sour, and definitely fruit beers. Here are some of the links that Kevin mentioned that I studied after listening:

    • Top Rated Beers on Beer Advocate
    • Toppling Goliath Brewing Company's Kentucky Brunch Brand Stout
    • My Beer Collectables (for 3rd-party craft beer sales)
    • Russian River's Pliny The Elder (Double IPA)
    • Toppling Goliath Brewing Company's SR-71 (very rare)
    • Tree House Brewing's Julius IPA

If you are interesting in learning more about craft beers, then check out this guide that Chris from ThePodCraft recommends.

My favorite casual sneakers are Converse Chuck Taylor All Stars in black.  I wore them a lot in high-school and college, but only recently went back to them in the last 5 years or so.

If found this article interesting because I'd never heard this before Why Navy SEALs Wear Chuck Taylors in Maritime Operations.
