I did a Google Search on “comparing replytv tivo” … I am trying to figure out my future “home” personal video recorder (PVR) architecture. There are I guess two other choices: build my own “computer” PVR or use Cox’s PVR service since I have Cox Digital Cable already. I saw an ad in the paper on Sunday about a new Panasonic that includes DVD-R and Tivo. That seems like a good combo.

I installed a demo of pocketWiNc on my work iPAQ H5550. It seems to be working pretty well and has a simple to understand interface. It did create three shortcut links in my Programs directory though.

I get to go to a FranklinCovey “The 7 Habits of Highly Effective Managers” one-day course tomorrow. It should be a good time, and I’ll get to do some more work with their Microsoft Outlook 2003 enhancement tool PlanPlus 2.0.

It seems to me that “categories” are becoming more and more popular in weblogs. MoveableType has them and Userland’s Radio has had them but now appears to be doing more with them if you keep up with Dave Winer’s Scripting News.
