I haven’t been discussing much personal or political or faith stuff in my podcasts. But the more and more that I listen to, the more I find the podcasters I am tuning into have a liberal bent.
Nothing wrong with that, but as a conservative one must have a thick skin while listening.
The value added though of most of these podcasts far outweigh not listening to them because of the occasional over “Vote for John Kerry” sound bite.

Times Online has an article about some new Zogby poll numbers showing President Bush leading nationally 48% to Senator Kerry’s 44%. Before the last debate, Zogby had them both tied 45% each. Margin of error is 2.9%.
Also I think before the last debate Kerry was ahead on Electoral Vote Predictor, but now it shows Bush 257 & Kerry 243 because Iowa and Florida are now considered tied. You need 270 to become President.

There is a MindManager Update v5.2 with improved enterprise support, better usability features, and some new data management options.
I just downloaded it and hope to do an upgrade soon because there is suppose to be more outliner support.

CNS News has posted a some PDF versions of some Iraq intelligence documents that if authenticate make a strong case that WMD did exist in Iraq in recent years and that Iraq had strong ties to terrorist organizations.

Jemimus’ Blog notes that Tech Rag Tear Outs (TRTO) was mentioned in Adam Curry’s Wednesday edition of Daily Source Code. Adam liked that I put up in the front of the podcast who I thought the target audience is. It was cool listening to the DSC and hearing the mention, but I think my description turned Adam off and he probably isn’t listening any more to the show.
I added that because I don’t want people wasting their downloading, subscribing, and listening to stuff they aren’t interested in. I don’t have time for that, so that is why I did it for others.
I also started to listen to Evil Genius Chronicles. It is very good. The show I listened to had a lot of good thoughts on music, getting sued by lawyers, and just using Creative Common’s released music.
And I liked the idea from the recent podcast from Geek News Central that procasters self-rate like the G, PG, PG-13, R, etc. movie ratings for content and language.

I released a second podcast. I think this is an improved product
but I need more practice. I have content for the 3rd already lined up
so hopefully each one will get better.

I did the first podcast is 128-kbps and the file was 12.2-MBs, at 96-kbps it is 9.1-MBs, and at 64-kbps it is 6.1-kbps. This is expected. I can also post a MP4 file at roughly 7-MBs.
I think that bandwidth issues will be coming along quickly if something becomes popular.
Is 64-kbps an acceptable level?
SIDENOTE: Adam Curry in his current Daily Source Code 2004-10-12 says his podcast downloads by others of his show is “36-GBs a day” and there is also some interesting info from Geek News Central.

I listened to a couple of podcasts on this morning’s run. The WGBM Morning Stories are short but very interesting. Also, Leo Laporte’s radio show podcasts are also very good for keep up to date with the latest technology questions and answers. He had a good pointer to a site called MobileWhack for those trying to access the Internet via the phone.
