  • I did the first podcast is 128-kbps and the file was 12.2-MBs, at 96-kbps it is 9.1-MBs, and at 64-kbps it is 6.1-kbps. This is expected. I can also post a MP4 file at roughly 7-MBs.

I think that bandwidth issues will be coming along quickly if something becomes popular.

    Is 64-kbps an acceptable level?

SIDENOTE: Adam Curry in his current Daily Source Code 2004-10-12 says his podcast downloads by others of his show is “36-GBs a day” and there is also some interesting info from Geek News Central.

  • I listened to a couple of podcasts on this morning’s run. The WGBM Morning Stories are short but very interesting. Also, Leo Laporte’s radio show podcasts are also very good for keep up to date with the latest technology questions and answers. He had a good pointer to a site called MobileWhack for those trying to access the Internet via the phone.
