Two of my favorite bands make the Top 10 (Echo and the Bunnymen & The Ramones) CNN.com – Review: The best of the best.
I have to totally agree that the Echo and the Bunnymen one is really good (not sure if it is #1 of all the offerings out there). I have been listening to it for years. I actually have one of their songs on my list for my next music supplement podcast.

I had a great time at the first Orange County Podcast User Group dinner held last night (Thursday). I got to meet Tim Bourquin, Emile Bourquin, and Michael Geoghegan.
It was really neat to spend some time with others who are dedicated to this new medium of podcasting, and in working together to learn a better tradecraft.
I highly encourage anyone who is doing and/or listening to podcasts to try to get something like this going near where they live.

It looks like Hillsdale College is going to put a great deal of published work from William F. Buckley online for free access. It doesn’t look like it will include audio content just written transcripts.

I posted a discussion item on David Allen’s Forum about a "bug" I think I’ve found in Outlook 2003. If you have any input on this topic, please post to the David Allen Forum.
UPDATE: John
Pecot found this URL that confirms this as a bug. -

I just finished the latest Jimmy Jett and I wanted to comment about his thoughts on “traditional radio vs. podcasting” but Hugo Schotman beat me to it:
In his Podcast for December 13 titled “IPods, Podcasting and Radio?” at 5 minutes into the show, Jimmy Jett provides a very clear view about the transitions that traditional radio has gone through, what qualities it may have lost and how it is (or could be) threatened by Podcasting.Sort of on the same topic Tod Maffin has a pointer to: “Radio X-Factor has a nice brief manifesto on Podcasting and Radio.”[NOTE: This post is using the new TypePad posting plugin for Newsgator … hope it works!] -

There is an Orange County Podcast group that is meeting tomorrow night (Thurs., 7 p.m., 12-16-04) in Irvine, CA. I am planning on driving up for it.
There is also a San Diego weblog/podcast group trying to get together on Saturday night (12-18-04), but I can’t make that one because it is the night of our annual Christmas party.
