"Creating a PowerPoint Presentation from Access Data: This sample creates a slide presentation using Access data. A Recordset object is created from the data in a table. The data from that recordset is then used to populate a slide show."

There is a lot of recent interesting news and references in the podcast world. Here are some that I thought were worth mentioning:

I am beta testing MixCastLive … it is working out very well right now. The improvements from the first release to this one (0.84) are very impressive.
Here is a sample I just did: mcl2005-01-21_09.13.14.mp3 (803.6K)
I am having some issues on my home WinXP setup to get the Plantronics USB DSP-100 audio to play through the Realtek stereo mix. But it seems to work great if everything is going through the standard Realtek audio ports.
This sample is using a standard PC headset from Logitech called Premium Stereo Headset (#980185-403).

Orange County-based graperadio has announced that their first podcast has been posted.
The focus will be on wine: types, how-to pick them, details on production, etc. It will also be geared for the novice to the enthusiasts.
As a self-confessed micro-beer snob I am going to listen to try to learn something new.

I created a "how-to" on getting OPML into Frontier. The original was posted on 12-31-04.
I got some great feedback from the Frontier Dev List and I have added those recommendations to the version posted here: Frontier Kernel How-To Read OPML v1.0c.pdf (355.4K).
Comments, feedback, etc are appreciated.
I also have on my to-do list a "How to publish HTML and OPML out of Frontier Kernel Win32" like I am doing for my podcast shownotes.
Unfortunately, I don’t have an estimated time of arrival (ETA). I can be motivated by comments of those interested in such a "how-to".

Back in 1985-1986 while I was in high school we had a video production class because the local cable company put in a studio at our high school. One of my friends, who was also one of my groomsman, was a natural at video production, and it comes at no surprise to me that he is a key part of SpyPost.
See their QuickTime promo: 16-MBs or 8-MBs. Really neat stuff.
P.S. This is also a test of BlogDigger … I mentioned the URLs … will they show up in the Quicktime feed?
UPDATE: BlogDigger worked!! My RSS feed download this morning from Doppler had the SpyPost QuickTime movies downloaded!

I had an initial post that listed some options (read first?).
The focus of these lists is to consolidate systems capable of currently running Frontier (kernel.scripting.com) which is Mac or Windows OS dependent at this moment.
I have some additional links to small personal computers:
- Dynamism.com’s Notebooks
- PC version of the Mac Mini via Padova Technologies
- Evan Fledman on CES: Aurora Multimedia & Asour Technology [etmag]
- ExtremeTech: Cappuccino PC & Logisysus
- Apple Mini
- Engadget (Taiwanese PC-maker King Young’s Sumicom)
I also have found some links to three MP3 players that have software developer toolkits:
- Creative Labs (via Adam Curry)
- Archos MP3 & RockBox
- Neuros (developers)
And finally Jon Udell recently had some thoughts on this topic also that I think are worth studying.

John Robb’s Weblogexamines an idea he called Global RSS Subscription Repository (GRSR) for creating an RSS repository that Dave Winer has advocating [RSS subscription system & The Yahoo Problem]. He has some pretty good thoughts on the topic.
Another great blogger – Phil Windley has his opinions on Dave’s idea.
I also like Dave’s idea a lot.
I have been chatting via email with someone who wants to remain anonymous about their thoughts on this topic also. I may be able to share some more soon.

Here are some tech pointers of potential interest from some recent podcasts that I listened to:
- Eric Rice had a pointer to WebJay (build your own media play lists from online sources)
- Engadget.22.12.29.2004 had a pointer to ORB (personal digital media streaming)
Also I am really happy with Charlie Quidnunc's summaries of the political landscape in his daily Rip & Read Blogger Podcast.

I am just starting to think I might want to change my Creative Common’s license from this (suggested by Dann Sheridan):
To this (basicially making someone using "my stuff" for commercial purposes to get my consent first):
Denise Howell is using this:
But that seems too restrictive on sharing of information to me.
Thoughts?
