On today’s podcast, Chuck @ ChuckChat.com offers up his recommendations on how to configure Windows XP standard interface back to Windows 2000. This should give users a speed boost, and maybe provide them with a better graphical user interface (GUI).

I have been trying to work Google SMS into my mobile toolkit since I read this post via Todd Storch.
But frankly I haven’t been that mobile over the last couple of months. Maybe in the near future.
I was able to snap an interesting picture of one of my queries …

Today’s podcast contains one news tidbit and one listener feedback.
If you are a Pocket PC users then you might want to check out a new program called Snapture by Blue Squirrel.
This tool will take a "snap shot capture" from your Windows desktop
system and place it directly on your Pocket PC. All you do to capture
is press F11 (configurable if you are using this key for something
else), and this works within any application on a Windows system.
There is also an option of adding multiple captures into a single
collection.
Listener feedback from Oso with mentions of Billy Watson and San Diego Bloggercon.

UPDATE: Pict#1, Pict#2, and Pict#3 (sorry they are a little blurry).
These are raw notes … typed in live …
Main areas: listen, sync, create
"Channels" are managed online and they use a stripped down iPodder client to move the podcast down to computer (I think they are putting stuff into a single folder/category in iTunes or Media Player).
They are pulling feeds from publicly available feeds. You can then search through categories and general text from the feed.
You can listen via "streaming" and they are pointing back to the file the podcaster has on their own servers/site/etc.
Create – goal – in browser recording studio (FLASH) that is between a desktop application and calling a voice mail system. You can add "elements": notes, sounds, etc.
Business model: hosting services, enable people to be able to charge for content, and platform for advertising insertion (dynamic ad input).

I have posted a picture of my "new" portable podcasting setup.
For input I am using:
Sony ECM-MS907 microphone; and
Samsung YP-T5V MP3 Player for music & audio input.
Mixer is the:
Rolls MX56S.
The output goes into my
iRiver iFP-799 player for recording and I can listen to the mixed output using my Koss QZ headphones.
The small mic stand is from Radio Shack.
All of this is battery operated, and with no computer in the loop for the actual recording of the content. 😉
Now I have to practice with setting up the levels on the mixer and on the devices. I also might need to do something slightly different to the microphone input (moving from input port 3 to input port 2).

The government has told Rogue Ales to lower the flag on its American Amber
Ale. The Oregon brewery has been ordered to stop using the stars and stripes to
advertise American Amber. According to U.S. Code Title 4, Chapter 1, Section 8,
Item I: "The flag should never be used for advertising purposes in any manner
whatsoever." The company began brewing the beer 11 years ago, and uses the flag
on beer taps, pint glasses, posters and T-shirts. Even the company’s red, white
and blue delivery truck will have to be repainted. The order came after an agent
for the Alcohol and Tobacco Tax and Trade Bureau who was visiting Newport with
her family spotted a Rogue delivery truck with a flag painted on it.
