eWeek for 31Oct05 had a pretty interesting eWeek Labs review of the open source portal tool Liferay Portal 3.6.1 that you might be interested in if you need to setup a prototype portal server for a demo or for small workgroup just getting started. This is a J2EE based portal that will support identity management via LDAP or Active Directory. Other links mentioned in the podcast:

From the Portable Media Expo and Podcasting Conference (held November 11-12 in Ontario, California) was news that the popular iPodder podcatching client has been renamed Juice Receiver:
"The Lemon is part of our mythology because of our fresh approach to getting media," said Mark Alexander Posth, the team’s content strategist. "After squeezing iPodder out, what remains is pure Juice."
Juice will continue to be donation supported, based on open source software and licensed under the GPL (General Public License).
