The CNN piece we talked about on Sunday did not run during the time period that it was annouced (Monday night). From my source at the Jersey Boys Broadway show it was delayed because of scheduling conflicts and editing problems. As soon as a new time and date is announced we will let everyone know.

This quote means "If it doesn’t fit in your knapsack, leave it behind" and the source is Darcy @ www.tombihn.com. They make backpacks, laptop bags, and other stuff. This company seems to really get the Internet … they have there own Forums for customer interactions. 🙂
I am evaluating a customized suite of their products for an article on TechNewsRadio.com about solutions for carrying two laptops because of an email question from a reader.
In my case, I’m typically carrying just about everywhere my podcasting rig – Apple iBook, and my work TabletPC – Toshiba Tecra M4. Plus about an equal amount in weight of "other stuff."
I’ll post some pictures soon.

We got email from the host of http://genuine-imitation-life-gazette.com that is a site devoted to Frankie Valli and the Four Seasons.
They are going to be capturing and posting the upcoming CNN video on the site via their Jersey Boys link (thanks also to another listener who forwarded the same link to us).
From this site you can see the Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade video and a bunch of other Jersey Boys media events.
Also from the main page you can see where and when Franke Valli is going to be performing in the near future.

Select members of the Jersey Boys cast will be performing in the near-future at:
- In The Raw, Original Songwriters Night on Sunday, Nov. 27, 2005 [Playbill]
- CNN “Showbiz Tonight” which will air on Monday, Nov. 28, 2005 at 7 p.m. EST, repeating at 11 p.m. EST. [Broadway World]
Note: On the CNN piece, Frankie Valli will also be participating. Can someone volunteer to record the audio and/or the video of this for me? We don’t get CNN cable anymore. Send me email at: jerseyboyspodcast@gmail.com if you can help.

Forbes published for 28Nov05 on page 134 has a detailed cost break down* on what a CDMA or WCDMA phone sold costs:
- $21 memory
- $57 chipset
- $6 battery
- $4 packaging
- $10 licensing to Qualcomm
- $17 screen
- $13 software
- $5 platic casing
- $13 other electronics
*The estimate above was for a "typical 3G phone" and the analysis was done by IDC & Forbes.

The recent edition of Forbes for 28Nov05 came yesterday, and there was an very interesting article by Quentin Hardy called "Intertaining Yourself: Entertainment on the Internet flopped years ago. Yahoo says it has a better: Do It Yourself (DIY)."
The article has a lot of good "new media" thoughts that were echoed a great deal at the recent Portable Media Expo, but the one thing that I thought was very interesting was the term "podcast" was not used once in the article.
The article mentions "users" creating "social media" like video and audio but the actual word podcast wasn’t used.

Epinions.com has a great history lesson on Frankie Valli and the Four Searsons. It is a must read for any fan of the music of Jersey Boys.

We hope everyone listening to the Jersey Boys podcast and those reading this site had a wonderful Thanksgiving. We certianly did.
If you managed to catch the Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade and the Jersey Boys cast performance you were not disappointed. It was great! I have the audio and the video of the small segment from the NBC Today Show broadcast. I’ll probably include the audio in the next podcast.
If the video shows up on the Internet where I can link to it, I’ll definitely share the link with everyone.
