Why should information technology (IT) professionals pay attention to RSS feeds like Slashdot.org or Digg.com? I share my thoughts via pointers to some recent articles:

    • Two-tiered Internet coming?
    • Amazon’s Alexa Web Search Platform
    • Tenable Security has released Nessus 3.0

If you can’t keep up with the RSS feeds, then check out: Slashdotreview.com and the Diggnation podcasts

Time is running out to listen to the podcast for Thursday, Dec. 8, 2005 for details on a special contest from TomBihn.com for listeners of TechNewsRadio.com.

Today’s podcast is a quick look at embedded computing via a very interesting article by Edward Correia for Software Developer Times called "VxWorks 6.2 by Wind River Systems: A ‘Legos’ Approach" published on 01Dec05.

Message from Steve Holden, "If you can support the podcast with a
financial donation, it would be greatly appreciated.  There are several
options in the ‘Advertising’ section on the right-hand column of
    TechNewsRadio.com."

  • Podcast Directory Woes – Ray Booysen with iPodder.org

    December 13, 2005

    +

    +

    +

    +

    +

    +

Ray Booysen who manages several nodes (hacking, games, and technology) in the iPodder.org (aka Indiepodder.org) has been having a bunch of problems and not getting anywhere.  He posts his details of his woes at:

Ray makes some good points on how little support there is within the directory.  I was able to get Jersey Boys Broadway into iTunes, Yahoo,  Odeo, and Podcast Alley before I gave up on the insanely stupid multiple directory hell that podcasters are currently in.  I can’t even seem to get into Podcast Pickle, and I still can’t figure out what AOL is doing.

Starting a new podcast can be a real challenge, and I think I sort of know what is going on.
