I noticed in an ad that Timex E-Instruments ETide & Temp can provide tidal trends and air/water temperature. This would seem to be ideal for surfers and salt-water shore fishmen.
The details on how this information is kept accurate based on your geographic location isn’t specifically called out on the Timex site, and a quick search on Google didn’t turn up much information either.
Anyone have any information or clues?
You have to set the tide first. The watch chould be called a Tide-Tracker model as it doesn’t predict tides, but tracks them. All tide watches do that, as they can’t tell where you are (Bay of Fundy is different tide time then Mobile Bay). This is a much nicer feature as youi can adjust it for your favorite dive or surf site.. That is why Timex has the link to the NOAA tide tables on those pages..
