AirWise is reporting that Canadia’s Bombardier may have to cut down production of their 70- and 90-seat regional jets if more new orders do not come in from Northwest
Airlines, Delta Air Lines and US Airways Group. They have in recent years been producing about 75 planes each year.
Brazil’s Embraer doesn’t appear to have this production problem, having recently announced winning a US$2.7 billion contract with China’s HNA Group for 100 regional jets (~US$270 million each).
