Tech Tidbits Daily for August 22, 2005

Federal Computer Week has an article of potential interest that looks at some new mobile security news.  The National Security Agency (aka NSA) has awarded an $18 million contract to General Dynamics to create a Secure IP Router Network (SIPRNET) handheld mobile device.  This "PDA" will utilize wireless communications from "worldwide" carriers including Cingular Wireless based on Code Division Multiple Access (CDMA) standard. The article already notes that GE supplies the U.S. Gov with NSA approved secure Sectera GSM phones.  [NOTE: Here is a link to the GE press release.]
