Tech Tidbits Daily for May 12, 2005

This is your Tech Tidbits Daily for Thursday, May 12th, 2005. Today’s podcast contains one technical reference.

Are you considering using two or more systems in your house or business? Maybe one running Windows and Linux, or add-in a new Apple MacMini to try out Mac OS X Tiger?  Harry McGracken in his Up Front article for the June 2005 edition of PC World has some suggestions with the help from David Lake and Tracey Capen.

Some things you should consider: KVM Switch; use one machine for heavy multi-tasking like burning a DVD while another is used for word processing and email; check out open source software that is cross platform like Open Office, Firefox, and Thunderbird; use the right tool – Linux maybe for servers and Windows for desktop productivity; and make sure you are part of an online community to get help.  These are all excellent suggestions.
