My primary computer – HP TC1100 Tablet PC – went blue screen then "OS not found" last night.  So, after doing some troubleshooting with Kevin Devin via SKYPE I decided to move to a backup test laptop I had.  But that is going to take some configuration time to get operational.  The really good news is I did a 99% data backup yesterday during lunch (the 1% is going to be annoying – Doppler OPML, Firefox Bookmarks, stuff on my Desktop, 18 hours of email/RSS feeds, …)

I haven’t had any problems with the TC1100 so it is pretty strange.  I’ll keep folks posted as I can.  Hopefully I can recover the disk but my first couple of attempts didn’t turn up anything positive.

To make matters slightly worse, my schedule is really busy.  I have an off-site for "real" work all day today, tomorrow the family leaves for a short 4 day trip to Yosemite, I am back in the office for one day on Monday, and then I plan to attend O’Reilly’s Emerging Technology Conference in town Tue-Thurs.  Whew …
