Some Thoughts On New Apple Products

David Coursey’s "Do New Apple Products Make the Grade? @ eWeek is an interesting read.

I think the Mac Mini is pretty compelling concept as a primary Windows user who was a seriously dedicated Macintosh zealot in the past.  I like the "bundled" software, but I don’t think that 256-MBs of RAM is going to keep me happy for long.  I might have to make a trip to the Apple store to check it out in person. [UPDATE: ExtremeTech has some more thoughts on pricing and what $499 really buys.]

The iPod Shuffle is a nice form factor, with good storage size and features that will be good for listening to music and podcasts.  I just got a Samsung Yepp YP-T5V (256-MBs) which I am pretty happy with so I am pretty sure I am not going to switch unless I do a swap with my wife (who is using my older Creative Labs Muvo 128-MBs).
