I do believe that you can deploy wireless networks in a secure way (it isn’t plug-n-play), but it requires some key commitments not only from management but also security professionals, and information technology (IT) specialists: #1.) requires good engineering, #2.) solid best practices, #3.) diligent dedicated & active resources, and #4.) comprehensive plans, policies, & procedures. If you don’t do these, then you’ll probably end up like the recent news with regards to a wireless deployment at the HQs for the Dept. of Homeland Security.
